Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
NuThera is hiring a Nevada-licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join its outpatient physical therapy team at the Rainbow clinic in Las Vegas. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, the PTA will support orthopedic, functional rehabilitation, and workers' compensation care. Responsibilities
- •Carry out treatment interventions from the supervising physical therapist's plan of care and within the PTA scope of practice.
- •Guide patients through therapeutic exercise, stretching, gait and balance training, and the safe use of rehabilitation equipment.
- •Observe patients before, during, and after treatment; document their response and report progress to the supervising physical therapist.
- •Provide patient education and reinforce assigned home activities as directed by the physical therapist.
- •Coordinate with physical therapists, medical providers, and support staff while completing timely, accurate treatment documentation.
Required
- •Active Nevada Physical Therapist Assistant license.
- •Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant education program.
- •Ability to work under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
- •Accurate clinical documentation and clear patient communication.
- •Ability to perform clinic-based, direct patient care.
Preferred
- •Outpatient orthopedic or work-injury rehabilitation experience.
- •Workers' Compensation or OWCP experience is helpful, but not required.
- •Experience with gait and balance training, manual techniques, or post-surgical rehabilitation.
Compensation
Depending on experience (DOE).
