About Daisy.

Dr. Daisy de Guzman is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with over five decades of clinical experience spanning hospital medicine, private practice, geriatric care, and clinical research. She completed her fellowship in Hypertension and Circulatory Diseases at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, and her residency at Bronx Lebanon General Hospital.

Throughout her career, Dr. de Guzman has held leadership roles including Medical Director at United Hospital Medical Center in Newark, NJ (1985–1993) and Director of the Geriatric Division at St. Michaels Medical Center (2008–2012). She maintained a respected private medical practice in Newark for three decades, serving as a trusted internal medicine and primary care physician to her community. Her early clinical research on hypertension and anxiety was published in the Mount Sinai Journal of Medicine and the American Heart Journal in 1974.

Dr. de Guzman continues to serve as a Principal Investigator on Phase III clinical trials in areas including hypertension, type 2 diabetes management, NASH and hepatic fibrosis, atopic dermatitis, postmenopausal vasomotor symptoms, and celiac disease. She holds Diplomate status in Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (1978, recertified 2018), is licensed by the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners (License #18593), and has been recognized with the Physician Recognition Award by the City of Newark and an Award Recipient designation from the National Institutes of Health.
