DOL Injury Recovery
NuThera's DOL Injury Recovery program is built specifically for workers with Department of Labor injury claims — OWCP federal workers' compensation, longshore workers' comp, energy worker compensation, and related programs. Every visit is documented to meet DOL standards.
The clinical program.
Every dol injury patient receives the following as part of their care at NuThera.

- Schedule Award evaluations for permanent impairment ratings
- Work restriction reports and return-to-work planning
- Authorization coordination with nurse case managers and claims examiners
Is dol injury the right service for you?

DOL Injury questions, answered.
What's the difference between DOL injury care and regular injury care?
The clinical treatment is often similar, but DOL injury care requires significantly more documentation — causation statements, periodic CA-17 duty status reports, CA-20 attending physician's reports, and detailed progress notes that align with agency evidentiary standards. Missing or weak documentation is the most common reason DOL claims are denied.
Do you accept all DOL programs, or only OWCP?
We focus primarily on OWCP (Federal Employees' Compensation Act) cases because that's the largest program and what most of our patients need. We also serve patients under LHWCA and EEOICPA. Call us to confirm we can accept your specific program before scheduling.
What if my DOL claim hasn't been accepted yet?
You can start care under a CA-16 (for traumatic injuries) which authorizes the first 60 days of treatment. For occupational disease cases pending review, we work with you on authorization options. We'll be transparent about what's covered and what isn't before you commit to a treatment plan.
